Plowing makes soil porus which helps watter perculate deeper and retain moisture for longer times, helps seeds to easily germinate and spread roots deep which in turn helps the plant to absorb required nutrients and moisture from the deeper parts of the soil.

Ploughing loosens and turns the soil ,removes the weeds ,makes the soil aerated .This helps the roots to penetrate deeper.
