Why is father's chromosome is responsible for the child's sex?

Father of the child have two types of chromosomes X and Y, and mother always has X chromosomes only...

During fertilisation X chromosome is taken from mother while there are two conditions for Father's chromosomes:-

1) if father provides X chromosome then the child will be female.

2) if father provides Y chromosome then child will be male.

XX :- Female

XY :- Male
