why is fertilization not possible without pollination​

fertilisation means fusion of the two gametes while pollination means the transfer of pollen grains from the anther of the flower to the stigma of that same flower or other flower of the same kind. therefore after pollination fertilisation occurs so how canfertilisation occur without pollination

The term pollination means transfer of pollen grains from anther to stigma is called pollination.

But when a anther and stigma (male and Female gamtes) are not transferred or not fuse to each other , then how it is possible to occur fertilization.
