Explanation:

xylem transport is unidirectional because of transpirational pull(negative pressure) and root pressure (positive pressure). They send the water upwards towards the shoot region from the roots.

Whereas the transport in phloem is multidirectional because of the high turgor pressure created as a result of the accumulation of sucrose in the phloem tissue. The other areas will have the low turgor pressure. Thus, the pressure gradient is created and the water moves either or downwards depending on the gradient i.e from the region of high turgor pressure to the region of low turgor pressure.
