The proliferative phase is the part of the menstrual cycle during which the primary follicles grow into graafian folicle inside the ovaries, it develops the matures for the ovulation.
The level of FSH increase in the blood stream during the proliferation phase, stimulatingthe maruration of follicles. Each follicle contains an ovum or egg. Although many follicles may grow and increase in size during this phase, only one will reach full growth and release the ovum at the time of ovulation.
