why is food digested in small intestine and not in stomach

It contains the very acidic chyme and can step up the chemical digestion. ...The stomach waits for the duodenum (the first part of the small intestine) to be empty before sending more chyme into it, small amounts at at time. The stomach also digest food from mechanical digestion.

small intestine receives all the necessary digestive juices from pancreas,intestinal walls...
But stomach does not receive all the necessary digestive juices for the full digestion of food..
