Freezing point is calculated based on vantoff factor.
So, i= (n-1)#+1
- n—)no.of molecules dissociated
- #—)deg.of dissociation (is actually alpha )
So if you take nacl it splits in Na+ and Cl- i.e. two molecules
And if take Glucose(non-electrolyte) has n value eq to 1
(Remember:all non-electrolytes has n value equal to 1 eg. urea,sucrose etc.)
Therefore, freezing point of nacl is 2 times the glucose.
Here I have taken deg of dissociation as 100%
Hope it helped you ❤️
