if there is no friction, all objects that are in motion is constantly in motion.........that is, Newton's 1st law of motion that states that an object in motion is in motion unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. This unbalance force is called the frictional force or opposing force......hence, friction is necessary so that all objects will at certain times be at rest.

Friction is called an evil thing though it's necessary because it has to be their in our daily life for our welfare and it supports many processes . But provided , it makes us slip when it is less and therefore we fall and injure our selves .
