why is friction considered as a evil of all motion? explain with examples

let me clarify that, Friction is necessary Evil.
It is friend and a foe.
Friction is a necessity:
it is because of friction we are able to walk, write ,eat, apply brake, fix a nail to wall, construct buildings etc.
Friction is An Evil:
it causes wear and tear of machinery.
A large amount of power is wasted in overcoming the friction and the efficiency of the machines decreases
Excessive friction between rotating parts of a machine produce enough heat and causes damage to machinery.
