Friction is not always considered as a disadvantage
It is called a necessary evil as we require friction to survive
Though it has some disadvantages like
•It causes wastage of energy-as we require more force to overcome friction.
•it wears out the rubbing surface.
•sometimes it generates immense amount of heat. (that sometimes can be dangerous).
Thanx mate
Hope it helps.

(1) The force of friction acts in the opposite direction of that the object is moving, so friction slows down the speed or motion of a moving object.
(2) Friction also produces unnecessary heat. for example, car's engine becomes hotter due to friction.
(3) Extra friction makes difficult to move an object, such as sliding a box across the floor or walking in deep snow.
(4) Any device that has moving parts can wear out rapidly because of friction. An example of friction wearing out an object is an eraser.
(5) Friction can create heat but this could overheat and damage an object, such as car. An, example could be a car spinning it's wheels so much of it causes the tires to smoke.
