Why is froth floatation method used for concentration of sulphide ores?

Only sulphide ores are concentrated by froth flotation process because pine oil selectively wets the sulphide ore and hence brings it to the froth. ... This method is usedfor that metals whose ore gets preferably wetted by the oil and the gangue by the water.
