Polythene bags are harmful to the environment … So Indian Government has imposed a ban on the use of polythene bags…
Alternatives for polythene bags are paper bags, jute bags, etc.
This ban will help us to keep our country clean & beautiful…

Government of India is imposing ban on plastic bags because they are non-Biodegradable substance.
"Paper Bags" and "cloth bags " can be used in the place of plastic bags as they are biodegradable and will Get decomposed And they will not pollute the environment
this ban will improve the environment in the following ways :-
1) Help to prevent land , water pollution
2) It will lead to less productions of polythenes , which help in reduction of harmful gases from factories...
