Why is graphite not used for making electrical wires? ​

Answer :

Graphite is a form of a carbon which is a non-metal. It is brittle and non-ductile. It is a poor conductor of heat and electricity. Therefore,it cannot used for making electrical wires

We all know GRAPHITE is a good conductor of electricity but it can't use in electric wires :

★ Due to Graphite is non metals

★ Shows brittle properties

★ Very soft { that's why we use graphite in case of lubricant }

Not malleable { most important reason }
