why is Greenland know as Greenland, I mean it's full of snow it's WHITE...!!!?​

The name Greenland comes from Scandinavian settlers. In the Norse sagas, it is said that Erik the red was exiled from Iceland for murder. He set out the ships to find land rumoured to be the northwest. After settling there, he named the land Greenland possibly more people to attract there.

Answer: It is called so because once it used to be covered in         vegetation but now due to continental drift it has shifted near the poles and has snow on it. So saaaaad ; (
