why is h2so4 nit used to dry h2

Sulphuric acid is not used for drying hydrogen gas it is a strong oxidising agent and will oxidise hydrogen to water. Sulphuric acid is not used as a drying agent to dry hydrogen as it combines with hydrogen thus defeating the purpose of the reaction.
