Why is halogen atom of alkyl halide easily replaceable ?

Answer:

The halogen atom is easily replaceable because bond between carbon and halogens (except fluorine) are very weak , weaker then carbon-carbon bond itself. Hence a heteroatom having weak bond is easily replaceable or can be easily substituted .
