As we go up on a hill the pressure decreases in the normal lapse rate which disturbs the balance of the pressure on either side of the eardrum again as we come down pressure decreases which again affects the normal pressure maintained in either side of the eardrum and hence disturbs hearing as our ears gets clogged up.
