Because in solids, the particles are very tightly packed with each other, so they have very less or no Kinetic energy. So the transfer(moving) or the conduction of heat is impossible In solids. Whereas in liquid or gases, they are having free spaces between the particles, and more kinetic energy, so that the heat energy can. Move and conduct easily.
