in a neutral atom there are equal number of protons and electrons ao they cancel each other's charge
if there are 10 electrons and 10 protons
and one electron is removed ,
so. the 9 protons will cancel the charge of all the 9 electrons but the last 10th proton will give the positive charge to the entity
