homologous organ s are called as divergent evolution because  it has same appearance and different function since it have different function due to some environmental changes and through adaptations causes changes in their germ cells or gametes thus like the situation we have studied in classification we can prove that homologous organ called as divergent evolution

divergent evolution is the accumulation differences between groups , leading to the formation of new species. the term can also be applied in molecular biology characteristics, such as to proteins that derive from two or more homologous genes
