1.It shows outer electronic configuration similar to group 1 elements I.e. 1s^1
2. It readily loose its electron to form H^+ ions which resembles the electro positive character of group 1 element .
3. It slows +1 oxidation state like Alkali metals.
4. It also acts like reducing agent and form binary compound with electronegative elements , e.g. HCl, HBr
