why is hydrogen not considered a metalloid? explain briefly.

Metalloid are the elements which have slightly metallic and slightly non metallic character. But hydrogen has only one valance electron in its outer shell, so it can give one electron and became highly metallic or by receiving one electron and became highly non metallic. So it not considered as metalloid.
