Why is hydrogen not included in periodic table

rumaisatamkeen193: No if you see clearly the table u will find that it is seperate from periodic table.
rumaisatamkeen193: I mean it is not included in any of the groups
priyeshmhatre2: it shows property of halogens but it has only one electron in its outermost orbit similar to alkali metals there is still some confusion about its place
priyeshmhatre2: and its not even a metal

Hydrogen is a nonmetal and is placed above group in the periodic table because it has ns1 electron configuration like the alkali metals.
