why is ice at 273 k more effective in cooling the water at the same temperature?plzz answer this question urgently i need answer not more than 6 lines

ice at 273K will take latent heat of fusion from the object it needs to cool....nut water at 273K will not absorb any such latent heat...thats why ice at 273K is more effective in cooling than the water at the same temperature
