Ice at 273K is more effective in cooling than water at the same temperature as cie takes latent heat from the substances for melting and hence cools the substances more effectively than water at the same temperature.

Answer:

ice at 273 K takes in the latent heat of fusion but water at 273k doesn't

thus more energy is taken in in ice than in water at 273k

thus ice at 273k is more effective in cooling than water at the same temperature
