why is ice rubbed on a burned part on a skin

Ice rubbed on the burnt part of skin gives more relief than water at same temperature bcoz the cooling effect of ice is more than that of water at the same temperature. ... Thus, ice will convert into liquid state by absorbing the Latent Heat of Fusion.

hey dear
actually ice is a cold medium, and if our skin get more external heat then it need a cold medium ..
ice gives relaxation for sometime so it is rubbed
