Why is if you touch a toad you get bumps?

It's a human virus, not amphibian skin, that causes warts. But it's a good idea to avoid touching them anyway — some toads' wart-like bumps contain parotoid glands, which contain a poison that can be rather irritating

A toad is an amphibian. A toad has dry lumpy skin i.e, it has bumps on the surface of its skin. These bumps are actually concentrations of granular glands. They are the toad’s first line of defense against predators and pathogens. It is in fact a specialized gland called the parotid gland. This gland is responsible for producing toxins that protect the toad against predators. In general, these toxins are not dangerous to humans.
