caste is meant for discrimination as it is based on hierarchy and smacks graded inequality and most of the people and most of the time still believe in it. This is the reason for caste conflicts Every caste discriminates another caste either positively or negatively.
Due to illiteracy, people are governed by belief in religious dogmas, blind beliefs and superstitions. Due to the practice of 'Jati Dharma' they take interest in their own caste. It leads to caste feeling and casteism.
