First and foremost, India is a secular nation wherein people from all religions reside together.

Explanation:

  • Hindus, Muslims, Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Christians are the major religions practiced in India.
  • With so many religions being present, the major festival of all these communities is celebrated with quite a fervour.
  • Because of its rich combination of distinct cultures, ethnic origins, languages, religious beliefs, diversified history, and different customs in all states, India is known as the country of festivals.
  • Indians place a high value on their festivals. Every year, special arrangements are made to celebrate numerous festivals. There is joy everywhere, whether in the countryside or the major metropolis. During the festival season, every location is decked up.
  • The people of India also have a high appreciation for the country's national festivities. Our country's three national holidays are Gandhi Jayanti, Independence Day, and Republic Day. These events represent togetherness and progress. They remind us of our heroic leaders who selflessly served the country. National holidays are also observed with zeal. During these festivities, the entire environment is charged with a sense of patriotism.
