✍ in India, we face nearly all types of weather phenomenon, we have cold desert (Jammu Kashmir) and hot desert (thar desert in Rajasthan), we have mountain ranges, we have plateaus(Deccan plateau, Cchtonagpur plateau), we have forest covered regions as well.

All these features are possible to be seen in a continent only, since India has mostly all the continental features, hence its known as subcontinent.
