becauseIndia is a poor country, I agree but many of the richest people in the world are also from India. And it comes under the 10 Richest countries of the world. But still is considered poor because the rich are becoming richer and the poor are becoming poorer.
India is not solely responsible for it’s current state as a history is correlated to it.In 1947 when colonial British left India, they left 70 percent Indians in deep poverty and a tiny elite class that controlled everything, and is still controlling but in a discreet manner.
There are many other reasons like Gender inequality, Illiteracy, Politics, Unequal distribution of Wealth, etc., and India suffers from poverty in huge amount. The Indian central government is undecided on criteria to identify families below poverty line. Internationally, an income of less than$1.90 per day per head of purchasing power parity is defined as extreme poverty. And a new report has shown that 67% of 1.35 billion people in India are BPL (Below poverty line).
If you compare it with the US, a person who is earning less than $12.06 per head per day is considered to be poor and below poverty line. According to a study, people earning below Rs. 32 per day per head in rural and Rs. 47 per day per head in urban areas are considered to be below poverty line in India, so approximately $0.70.
The GDP of India is $2.84 Trillion in 2017, and was ranked 7th around the world.
Because India is a poor Country .
1. Health
This is what typical govt. hospital look like.
Need not emphasize on this topic we all know what the condition of our country is in health sector .
If your relative gets a heartache where will you go ? , definitely to a private hospital , where the fees will be high and empathy will be low .
One of the family in my neighborhood went through similar problem , their daughter had some heart problem , they invested all their money in her treatment , result , she ultimately succumbed to illness , all the money exhausted , and this not a single case so many people in our country g through the same.
one recent event i recall is that of Gorakhpur(UP) we all know what happened there , they didnt even have money for oxygen resulting in death of 63 children's and still counting . And this just one news there are so many its just that they dont get covered.
2. Education
Nobody want there children's to go to govt. school (well execpt for delhi ) , why ? , because of the subhuman condition there forget studies . Apart from that teachers usually absent , syallabus God knows , classroom absent , books to study absent , what's permanently present is Corruption.
