Sovereignty exists in India, and is vested under the preamble of Indian constitution. In other words, sovereignty is a form of backbone of India’s existence, like Agriculture for Indian Economy.
Sovereignty has to be understood in global context.
India has autonomy in deciding matters relating to her sphere, and is free from the whims of the outside world. In other words, no other country can interfere in matters and decisions taken by India, for her people and the land.
In a more formal sense, sovereignty means India (as a State) has the capacity to act independently and autonomously on the world stage.
Example: During United Nations General Assembly Meeting, India has her own identity and ideology. India is not to be intervened in her vocal discourse, as she is sovereign and mature to take decisions under global parlance.
