Answer: India is considered a mega Biodiversity hotspot because India has varying climate and geographical features such as nothern planes which experience extremes of climate to the western and eastern coast which experiences moderate climate to the northern mountains which experience cold climate to the river basins with fertile soil due to the deposited alluvium to the desert region with barren land and hot dry climate.

These all areas have their own crops and animal species to suit a particular climate.
