A mega-diverse country is one that harbors the majority of the Earth’s species and is therefore considered extremely biodiverse. India is rich in biodiversity from north to south and from east to west. India contains many species that world’s gone country have. It has 14 major basins through which drain numerous rivers.

Mega diverse country is a country which covers up majority of earth species and shares all type cultural, structural and behavioral diversity. India is considered to be a big mega diverse country.
It represents about 7% of world's flora and 6.5% of fauna. The majority of animal’s species, plants species, and insect’s species have been found.
