Answer:

Secularism in India means equal treatment of all religions by the state. With the 42nd Amendment of the Constitution of India enacted in 1976, the Preamble to the Constitution asserted that India is a secular nation. However, neither India's constitution nor its laws define the relationship between religion and state.

Hola, friends ☺️

\implies The India as per its preamble is a secular nation because the state has no national religion ,it doesnot mean that here we don't have any religion rather it means that every religion has a freedom to practise their religions and religious teaching which are gaurnteed by the constitution of India

\impliesSecularism means the non-interference of the state and the religion in the affairs of each other. In the Indian context, it refers to the freedom of an individual to practice the religion of her/his choice. India is a secular state as the state has no religion of its own. The Constitution of India guarantees equality of all religions and prohibits discrimination against any individual on grounds of religion.

\mapsto Secularism as practiced in India, with its marked differences with Western practice of secularism, is a controversial topic in India. Supporters of the Indian concept of secularism claim it respects Muslim men’s religious rights and recognises that they are culturally different from Indians of other religions.
