why is india warmer in winter

Water gets heated slowly and cools down slowly than land due to its high specific heat. In the coastal areas during morning land will be hot whereas water will be relatively cold due to variations in specific heats of land and water.

Because india is influenced by north east trade winds which doesn't  carry moisture..... But by passing over bay of bengal it picks up moisture and causes rainfall along coromondol coast ,mainly along the coast  of kerela. Therefore the temperature of India in winter is not so cold.
