\impliesIndia Ocean named after our country because:-

》India has the longest coastline on the Indian Ocean.

》India has a central location between east and west Asia.

》India's Southernmost extensive Deccan Peninsular protrudes into India Ocean that makes it significant to international trade done through Indian Ocean.

》No other country has a long coastline on the Indian Ocean as India has.

》The trans - India ocean routes which connect the countries of Europe in the West and the countries of East Asia provide a strategic location to India.
