the Indian ocean named after our country because

the India has the central location between the east and the West Asia

no other country has a long coastline on the Indian Ocean as India has

Deccan Plateau protrudes into the Indian Ocean

the trans Indian ocean route which connect the countries of Europe in the west and the countries of East Asia provides a strategic Central location to India
