Hey Friend,

Inland waterways are developed more in northern India than in southern India.

Some factors affecting this are...

1. a Regular flow of sufficient water - Rivers in northern India are perennial and on plain land!

2. The presence of waterfalls, cataracts, sharp bends along river's course...hinders the development of waterways - which are the main features found in Southern India

3. There should be sufficient demand for waterways to make it an economically worthwhile mode of transport - which is there in Northern India

4. Silting of the river beds reduces the depth and creates a problem for navigation. Water in the river is sometimes reduced due to the diversion of water for irrigation

Hope it helps!

have a nice day and pls mark as brainiest...
