it is important because..
if without conversion of state you may not get the desired thing which you want..
for example you want to make ice of water...
so if this process of interconversion would not be there..so u couldn't know or get some new things

Interconversion of states is important bcoz it allows u to change a solid into liquid(melting),a liquid into a gas(Boiling),a gas into a liquid(condensation), a liquid into a solid(freezing) , a solid into a gas and vice-versa(sublimation).
