Ionisation enthalpy 1 means energy used to remove 1 electron from it outer most shell in gaseous state

Where as ionisation enthalpy 2 means removal of 2 electrons from its outermost shell in gaseous state

Ionisation enthalpy 1 is less than ionisation enthalpy 2 as nuclear charge increase

Answer:

hi mate hope my answer finds you in the pink of your health-----

Explanation:

See dear...

Ionisation enthalpy 2 is greater than Ionisation enthalpy 1 because after the removal of first electron ; the remaining electrons are held more tightly by the nucleus ...

So the atom has greater effective nuclear charge ,so, it becomes difficukt to remove the second electron from tge same shell as it requires a much greater energy to do so...and also the atom will be getting constricted...

so ..u know.. the I.E 1< I.E 2...

hope this helps you..
