Why is it 2-bromo-5-hydroxybenzonitrile and not 6-bromo-3-hydroxybenzonitrile?

2-bromo-5-hydroxybenzonitrile is correct because according to the rule Of IUPAC we numberd acc. to alphabetical order , firstly bromo comes so we numberd it as 2 and hydroxy as 5 and cyanide in this is main functional group.
