Why is it advisable to cultivate a pulse crop in between two successive cereal crops??

Cause pulses or legume crops helps to fix atmospheric nitrogen to inorganic nitrogen to the soil.As soil are deficient in nitrogen after every use so it is advised to grow legume crops or pulses in between the 2 main crops as the main crops need nitrogen to grow well.
