I think it's better to stay fully clothed coz the sun may tan your skin.....just kidding
Maybe coz of heat of the sun u may be dehydrated and can get heat stroke.

It is better to stay fully clothed in a hot desert inspite of scorching heat in the environment, because;
1) The direct exposure of the sunlight on the skin can cause skin tan and sun stroke.
2) The direct exposure of the sunlight on the skin can increase the amount of water evaporation from the skin which can cause dehydration.
3) The UV rays which come with the sunlight can damage the skin in a permanent basis.
