why is it cooler in regions further from the equator

Hey mate here is ur ans ☜☆☞
as we move away from the equator towards the poles, the sun's rays change from vertical to highly slanted
the slanted rays spread over a larger area as compared to the vertical rays thus causing less heating effect due to less intensity of sunlight in an area
thus the regions tend to be cooler than equator
