Why is it difficult to cook food at high altitudes?

higher altitude means the atmospheric pressure at that place will be low thus leading to lowering in boiling point as well. so, it attains the boiling point earlier than it is supposed to leaving the food uncooked. So, the food has to be cooked for a longer time.
