why is it difficult to cut vegetables with a blunt knfe
johanlalrindika:
it is because blunt knife have greater effective area which leads to difficulty in cutting vegetables where as if the shop is nice its effective area would be less and hence less pressure would be required and it would be easy to cut the vegetables and fruits

We know the formula
Pressure=Force/Area
Since have a blunt knife have more area than a sharf knife
Therefore a sharp knife can give more pressure as compared to blunt knife for the same amount of force.
So that's why it is easier to cut things with a sharp knife!!!!

there's also always a difficulty to cut a vegetable by the blunt kinfe as at the corners they have more pressure to cut the vegetable while in the sharped knife it have more area and pressure that's why it cut the vegetables while blunt have more area and less pressure that's why it don't cut the vegetables
