why is it difficult to grow plants in water logged soils​

Hey mate...... Here is the correct answer :
it's very difficult to grow plants in water lock the soil because the water lock the air spaces between the soil particles which are present within the soil and as we all know that plants take care and does respiration with the help of the Year present in the spaces between the soil particles only so if the air spaces are Louder Than the plants can't go there and suun they will die therefore it is indispensable so that the soil must not be locked by the water

Waterlogging occurs whenever the soil is so wet that there is insufficient oxygen in the pore space for plant roots to be able to adequately respire. Other gases detrimental to root growth, such as carbon dioxide and ethylene, also accumulate in the root zone and affect the plants.
