It is difficult to hold a bag with thin strap as we that pressure is indirectly proportional to surface area. Decrease in surface area increases the pressure. As the thin strap has low surface area, we feel a lot of pressure on our shoulders. Therefore, this makes it difficult to hold the bag

Explanation:

Answer: It is difficult to hold a school bag having a strap made of a thin and strong string because the area under the strap is small. Hence large pressure is exerted by the strap on the fingers or shoulders. Due to the large pressure, the strap tends to cut the skin and hence pain is caused.
