Why is it difficult to make antiviral medicines in cimparison of antibacterial medicine

as bacteria can be figured out in the body it have entered but virus gives an exclamation mark because it cant be sebsed at all , it comes into life only when it gets favourable conditions so making antiviral drugs would be much harder than in making antibacterial drug
